November 27 Meeting Highlights
Grey County Council met on November 27, 2025 in the Grey County Council Chamber and virtually on Zoom. The meeting was immediately followed by a session of Committee of the Whole. A recording of the meeting can be found on the Grey County YouTube Channel.
County Council
- Council accepted the minutes of the November 13 County Council and Committee of the Whole meetings. Council Committee
- Warden Matrosovs and Council recognized five Grey County paramedics who were recipients of the provincial Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal. Media Release
- Staff shared highlights from the 2025 Youth Climate Action Conference.
- Staff highlighted work done to recognize National Housing Day earlier in November.
Committee of the Whole
- Council received the minutes of the November 6 meeting of the Planning and Economic Development Advisory Committee. The meeting included an Economic Development, Tourism and Culture strategic progress report, an overview of 2026 priorities, an overview of the proposed changes and impacts of provincial Bill 60: The Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, and roundtable discussions. - Council received the 2025 Housing Action Plan status update report. The report highlighted progress made on the plan in the previous year and upcoming next steps. The Housing Action Plan was first endorsed in 2023. The plan identifies a variety of actions that may be undertaken to support the creation of affordable and below-market rate rental units, as well as affordable home ownership units. Report
- Warden Matrosovs gave a closing address to mark the end of the 2025 Council year. In her address, Warden Matrosovs highlighted the many accomplishments from the year and the collaboration of Council. Closing Address
