Supportive Outreach Services

Supportive Outreach Services (SOS) is a mobile outreach program that brings health and social services directly to Grey County's most vulnerable residents.

SOS provides care for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use issues, or who have difficulty accessing traditional services. Operating seven days a week, the team works to deliver medical care, mental health support, harm reduction services, and help connecting to housing and other supports. By building trust and removing barriers to care, SOS helps prevent emergencies and connects people to ongoing support. 

This no-cost program runs regular clinics across the county with a mobile team available throughout the week. Find the schedule here:

SOS Pop-up & Market Schedule

Services include:

  • Medical care and mental health counselling
  • Harm reduction supplies (including naloxone kits)
  • Basic needs (food, clothing, hygiene products)
  • Help finding housing and navigating services
  • Case management support

The mobile team includes paramedics, a nurse practitioner, mental health counsellors, peer support workers, and social navigators.

SOS is supported by across the community with partners including Grey County, Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce, Brightshores Health System, United Way of Bruce Grey, OSHaRE, Grey Bruce Public Health, Safe 'N Sound, and more.
