Throw it away? No way! Before you throw out that broken lamp, you might want to pop into the Repair Café, saving you money, and maybe helping you learn something too.

With 2,500 cafes operating worldwide, repair cafes represent a global movement that has now arrived in Grey County. They are free meeting places where you’ll find the people, tools, and materials to help make many common repairs you might need on clothes, furniture, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, and more. You’ll also find expert volunteers with repair skills in all kinds of fields to help breathe new life into your belongings.

"This initiative embodies our commitment to sustainability and community engagement. It’s an opportunity for us all to come together, reduce our carbon footprint, and foster a culture of resourcefulness."

— Danuta Valleau, representative of the Georgian Bluffs Climate Action Team and the Repair Café
