Paramedic Services Week 2025

May 18 to 24 is Paramedic Services Week across Canada. Each year, Paramedic Services Week is a time to recognize the essential role paramedics play in our communities and to highlight important developments in paramedicine.

The theme for Paramedic Services Week 2025 is "We Care. For Everyone." This theme celebrates the commitment paramedics make every day to provide compassionate care to all members of our community, regardless of circumstance or background.

"Paramedics bring care wherever it's needed—on the roadside, in a home, or at the heart of a public emergency," says Grey County's director of paramedic services, Kevin McNab. "The theme 'We Care. For Everyone' reflects our paramedics' dedication to showing up, acting fast, and providing care without barriers.”

Throughout the week, the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada and the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs will be highlighting different aspects of paramedicine with daily themes, including Health and Wellness, Education, Safety, Children's Care, Life-Saving Skills, Recognition, and Remembrance.

Paramedics provide an invaluable service in our communities as first responders, community educators, and through community paramedicine supporting our vulnerable populations. Grey County Paramedic Services has a workforce of more than 150 primary care and community paramedics and responded to over 15,000 calls for service in 2024.

In addition to emergency response, Grey County provides or supports several community paramedicine programs and initiatives such as Supportive Outreach Services, Community Paramedic Home Visitation, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Community Paramedicine for Long-Term Care.
