Holiday Office Hours 2025
The holiday season is here and as the year comes to a close, many Grey County facilities and services will be closing or adjusting hours as we celebrate the season, reflect, and recharge for the year ahead.
Administration
The Grey County Administration Building will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on December 24 until 8:30 a.m. on January 2.
Ontario Works and Social Assistance
Ontario Works offices will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on December 24 until 8:30 a.m. on January 2. For emergency assistance December 29, 30 and 31 until noon, call 519-371-9731 and leave a message or email socialservices.admin [at] grey.ca (socialservices[dot]admin[at]grey[dot]ca)
Housing Programs and Services
Affordable housing administration will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on December 24 until 8:30 a.m. on January 2. Maintenance services for current tenants will continue.
The Short-Term Housing Program will continue to operate throughout the holidays. For service during office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) on December 29, 30 and 31, call 519-376-5744 ext. 2. For after-hours support, call 2-1-1.
Provincial Offences
Provincial Offences Administration (court) will be closed on December 25 and December 26 and available by appointment December 29-31. To pay a ticket online, or to make an appointment, visit www.grey.ca/courts or call 519-376-3470 and select option 1.
Grey Roots Museum and Archives
Grey Roots Museum and Archives will be closed December 24 to January 1. The museum be open for regular hours January 2 and 3 and will close again from January 4-9 for the annual winter closure.
Business Enterprise Centre
The Grey County Business Enterprise Centre will be closed December 23 to January 4. Service will be available by appointment January 5 to 9. Regular service will resume on Monday, January 12. To schedule an appointment email bec [at] grey.ca (bec[at]grey[dot]ca) or call 519 371 3232.
Grey Transit Route (GTR)
The GTR will not operate on December 25, December 26, or January 1.
24 Hour Services
All 24-hour services such as snow plowing, paramedic emergency response, community paramedicine programs including Supportive Outreach Services (SOS), long-term care and short-term shelter services will continue throughout the holidays.
