Grey County Long-Term Care Update: Masking, Vaccinations, Testing Polices

For the past two years, Grey County's long-term care homes have been committed to safeguarding our residents against COVID-19. Now, as provincial requirements lift and the public begins adapting to life with this virus, we must remember the potential threat COVID-19 continues to pose to those with greater risk factors.

Given the ongoing outbreaks and COVID-19 cases in the community and long-term care homes, Grey County will continue with our masking, vaccination, and testing polices for our three homes, Grey Gables, Rockwood Terrace and Lee Manor.  Our focus remains on the protection, health, and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and broader community. These tools are available to us and we will continue to use them.

In addition to the precautions above, active screening will continue at the homes. Additional temporary precautions may be added at a home if Public Health declares an active outbreak.

The decision to proactively continue with masking and other policies follows the direction of our local hospital partners, such as the South Bruce Grey Health Centre and Grey Bruce Health Services.
