On February 16, Grey County will return to the Yellow ‘Protect’ level of the Provincial COVID-19 Response Framework. At this point, all County-owned public buildings will remain closed to the public, with staff continuing to work from home and providing services remotely. Many County services can be accessed online or over the phone. We encourage everyone to continue following Public Health guidelines and regulations as we continue efforts to fight the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
The following processes are in effect in order to maintain services and support our communities while keeping each other safe.
The Administration Building is closed to the public until further notice. Staff are working remotely and continue to provide services virtually. To access services, please call the office at 1-800-567-4739. Many services can also be accessed online at grey.ca.
Business Enterprise Centre

Children’s Services / EarlyON
Services will be offered remotely during the office closure. To learn more about licensed child care, visit grey.ca/childrens-services.
Virtual programming at EarlyOn Child and Family Centres will continue, and locations will be closed the week of February 15. More details on in-person programming opportunities will be shared later in the week.
Grey Roots Museum & Archives
Grey Roots is remaining closed to the public at this time. Staff are working remotely and are available to provide services virtually, including research assistance. Online education programs are available at greyroots.com(link is external).
Grey Transit Route
Grey Transit Route continues to operate with safety precautions and limited capacity. See grey.ca/grey-transit-route for details or to book your ride.
In person interviews for Ontario Works applicants have been replaced with telephone interviews in order to review and complete applications. Contact Ontario Works by calling 1-800-567-4739.
Provincial Offences Courts are operating virtually. No in person appearances are taking place at this time. Remote options for ticket payment and traffic court are available by calling 519-376-3470. Tickets can also be paid online at grey.ca/traffic-tickets-provincial-offences.
The County is maintaining operations in corporate services, economic development and tourism, housing, long term care, paramedic services, planning and development, social services, and transportation services. County Council and other public meetings are being held virtually and can be viewed at grey.ca/council/live-stream. County staff are working remotely where possible.
