Owen Sound, March 1, 2017 – The counties of Simcoe and Grey are hosting a Business to Retail Networking Event on Thursday, March 16 at the Beaver Valley Community Centre in Thornbury. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. will give retailers the opportunity to meet local agri-food businesses, sample products and understand what products are available. The goal is to support growth in the food sector by strengthening connections between producers and retailers.
The networking event is designed for business owners or those working in the agri-food sector. There is no cost to participate for producers or retailers. Space is limited and advance registration is required through www.edo.simcoe.ca or www.investingrey.ca.
Businesses wishing to participate as a vendor must complete an application form showing their market readiness. Retailers within a 200 km radius of our region, including grocery chains, are invited to participate in the event.
