Respiratory outbreak declared at Lee Manor

Update December 2, 2025 - Public Health has declared a respiratory outbreak on the 3 South home area at Lee Manor. There are currently three residents experiencing respiratory symptoms with test results pending. The affected residents are isolating and receiving care. In an effort to prevent further spread, roommates and high-risk contacts are being closely monitored.

As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place on the 1 South and 2 South home areas. Test results have returned identifying two infectious agents; COVID-19 and Influenza A for the 1 South home area, with test results pending for the 2 South home area.

We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place. In response, we are taking the following steps:

  • Home-wide universal masking (surgical mask) is required for all staff and visitors.

  • Increased surveillance, and enhanced infection prevention and control measures including audits, and hand hygiene audits.

  • All staff are following respiratory outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Surgical masks or N95 masks are required when entering an isolation room.

    • PPE signage is posted at the resident’s room.

  • Designated Care Partners are reduced to one (1) DCP per resident visit for residents in isolation.

  • We recommend that general visitors postpone their visit until the outbreaks have resolved.

The safety and wellbeing of our residents, families, and staff is our focus. As a reminder, please refrain from visiting the home if you are feeling unwell. If you require additional information, please contact the home at 519-376-4420.
