Rockwood Terrace respiratory outbreak declared - 3rd Floor
October 7, 2025 - Public Health has declared a respiratory outbreak on the 3rd Floor home area at Rockwood Terrace. Currently, three residents are experiencing symptoms, with test results pending. The affected residents are isolating and receiving care.
We are working closely with our Public Health partners and monitoring the situation closely. As part of our outbreak response, the following measures are in effect:
- Home wide universal masking (surgical mask) has been implemented for all staff and visitors.
- Surgical masks or additional PPE are required when entering an isolation room.
- PPE signage is posted at the resident’s room.
- Residents in isolation are limited to 1 Designated Care Partner (DCP).
- Increased surveillance and enhanced infection prevention and control measures including audits and hand hygiene audits.
