Climate Action
Grey County has declared a climate emergency and adopted Going Green in Grey: Climate Change Action Plan 2022-2050.
Resilient Grey
Climate change is not a distant threat - it is here now. Warmer, wetter, and wilder weather is already affecting our infrastructure, economy, health, and natural environment. But together, we can make our community more resilient. Preparing today to protect tomorrow.
We Want to Hear From You
Weather patterns in Grey County are changing - and will continue to change in the years ahead. These changes are impacting our communities, environment, economy, and way of life. To help our community prepare for these changes, Grey County is developing Resilient Grey, Grey County's Climate Change Adaptation Plan. Help prepare today to protect tomorrow by completing this brief, 10-minute community survey.

In just one generation, we’ve seen the effects of climate change in Grey County through increased flooding, extreme heat, snowstorms and other severe weather events. Our community is projected to grow to nearly 125,000 residents by 2046 – more people means more emissions-producing actions and the potential for increasing climate change impacts.
About the Climate Action Plan
Going Green in Grey, the County’s Climate Change Action Plan identifies targets and actions for reducing community greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 30% by 2030 and reaching net-zero by 2050, as well as building resilience to the impacts of climate change.
Climate Action Progress
Grey County continues to collect and analyze data to help set priorities and determine if we are on track towards our climate targets.
