Grey County is rebuilding Rockwood Terrace in Durham. The new facility will include 128 long-term care beds, 40 assisted living units, and a market square.
Grey County is in the design stage for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Grey Road 3 and Grey Road 4 east of Hanover in the Municipality of West Grey. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction during the summer of 2023. Below is an overview of the roundabout design.
The intersection of Grey Road 4 and Grey Road 3 in the Municipality of West Grey is well travelled. Many vehicles turn at the intersection daily due to high traffic volumes on these two important routes. Although the intersection meets all current safety design standards, more accidents occur here compared to other intersections in the County. A roundabout is best suited to reduce accidents while improving the comfort and safety for all road users using the intersection.
Through a successful application to the Ontario government’s Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Rural and Northern Communities Funding Stream, Grey County is partnering with the Federal and Provincial governments to fund this project. The funding breakdown is as follows:
