Paramedic Services recruits for Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) once annually using our online application process (below).  On occasion, if need arises, we may initiate a second posting in the fall.

We encourage you to sign up for our Employment Opportunity Notifications to receive emails of any upcoming postings, including Primary Care Paramedic positions! This will allow you to get timely notification as soon as the Primary Care Paramedic posting goes live each year.

Application Instructions

Grey County Paramedic Services takes great care in selecting the best candidates to join our progressive team.  The recruitment process is very competitive. 

In order for us to ensure that we have properly qualified recruits, we require copies of certifications and qualifications to be uploaded. 
If you are currently waiting on proof or results for any of the requirements below, there is a comments section in the application where you can add additional information. However, please note that you cannot add to/modify an application once submitted and incomplete applications may negatively impact a candidate’s evaluation.

In preparation for your application, you will need the following documentation ready to upload:

Certification

Important Notes:

  • Class F Driver’s License

 

  • Vulnerable Criminal Record Check
  • Must be current within the last 3 months of your application
  • College Paramedic Diploma
  • If you do not yet have a copy of your Diploma, we will accept a graduation letter from your college
  • Current CPR Certification 
  • Must be current within the last year
  • Proof of Successful Physical Testing Verification
  • GCPS accepts physical testing verification by Ability Works or OPPAT ONLY
  • If through OPPAT you will need to provide us authorization to access your successful results
  • These forms are required as part of the recruitment process.  If you do not have these completed at the time of application, we will temporarily accept completed forms from other services or schools, however please note that the Grey County version would be required in order to participate in the next stage of the recruitment process.

Any personal information submitted will be managed in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and will be used only to determine eligibility for employment.
