Welcome to Rockwood Terrace, a not for profit Long Term Care Home nestled in a quiet residential neighbourhood in peaceful Durham, Ontario. Rockwood Terrace is home to one hundred residents accommodated in private, shared and basic rooms.
The facility includes a large auditorium for programs and family events, a large enclosed garden area with walking paths and the family dining room. Among the specialized services are regular physician visits, spiritual programs and pastoral care, physiotherapy, hair care, foot care, dental care and massage therapy. The lives of our residents are enriched through music and pet therapy and intergeneration programs with the public school next door and the daycare centre on site. A large group of dedicated volunteers help provide social and recreational programs and maintain a tuck shop.
Our mission at Rockwood Terrace is to enrich the quality of life for the residents by providing exemplary care and service. Our approach to care combines the preferences of residents and families with individual assessments by a team of trained caregivers.
