The County of Grey operates 3 Long Term Care Homes in the communities of Owen Sound, Durham and Markdale. These municipal not-for-profit homes are governed by a Committee of Management that oversees the operations. Programs and services are provided as legislated by the Long Term Care Act, as amended by Bill 101, and the Long Term Care Statutes Law Amendment Act 1993.
The mission of the Grey County homes is to enrich the quality of life for the residents through the provision of exemplary care and service. Each area of the Home offers a full continuum of Long Term Care services including dementia, restorative, wellness and palliative care.
