Ambulances
Grey County EMS utilizes a fleet of 17 ambulances equipped with 2 stretchers and various specialized equipment to assist Paramedics in providing emergency care for a multitude of illnesses & injuries. Grey County EMS ambulances are like rolling emergency rooms, providing a stable, secure work environment for Paramedics.
Emergency Support Unit
When needed, Grey County EMS can deploy the Emergency Support Unit (ESU) to the scene of multi-casualty incidents, long duration scenes, large scale public events & disasters. The primary function of the ESU is to provide a mass quantity of equipment and supplies to the scene. It can also act as a mobile command & ambulance dispatch centre.
Emergency Response Units
Grey County EMS utilizes three Emergency Response Units (ERUs) for administrative, supervisory and first response functions. One of the ERUs is operated by the Duty Supervisor and is fully equipped to provide immediate emergency medical care until more Paramedics arrive with an ambulance to transport the patient.
