The Transportation and Public Safety Department provides maintenance and construction on 866 kilometers of County Roads, and maintenance and repairs on 189 culverts and bridges with a span greater than three meters. Grey County recycles tires in our Rubber Roads. The main administrative office is located in the County Administration Building with highways depots located in Chatsworth, Durham, Dundalk and in The Blue Mountains.
The Transportation and Public Safety Department also manages Grey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Service. A civic numbering addressing system has been developed and is now in place in the County as part of the 911 emergency response system.
