Emergency Management
An emergency can be any situation or threat of an emergency that is caused by some event whether it is natural (e.g. tornado), technological (e.g. power outage), or human-caused (e.g. September 11 th terrorist attacks), that negatively affects the health, safety or property of a significant portion of the people in a community.
As an important step in ensuring that Grey County has a proper emergency management program in place, we regularly update our Emergency Management Plan so that it reflects the procedures that would work best in managing a County-level emergency.
At the November 27, 2012 session of Grey County Council, By-Law No. 4772-12 was passed, resulting in the adoption of the updated Grey County Emergency Management Plan.
If you require any of the Grey County documents offered on this page in an alternate format, please contact us by email or call (519) 376-7337 ext. 1245.
