Internet Usage Survey

A Survey Invitation to better understand your Internet needs!

As part of the Rural Connections Broadband Program deployment, the Government of Ontario has contracted a consulting firm, SNG, to perform a program evaluation that will allow Grey County to better understand how households and businesses benefit from broadband services.  This will enable a deeper understanding of the social benefits and economic impacts from such investments in rural communities.

Strategic Networks Group (SNG) are designing and assisting in the deployment of a web-based Online Impact Tracking Tool that will be used to collect information on high-speed Internet for rural Ontario communities.  The information will also identify the needs, challenges, and opportunities toward ensuring that all members of our community have the services and support that they need to take full advantage of broadband.

Two surveys are available online (one for households and one for businesses and other organizations).  The survey questions are targeted at collecting data and opinions directly from broadband users (businesses and citizens) on their current and planned use of the Internet and the benefits they receive from broadband use.

The survey data will be captured in a database on secure servers accessible only by those who have authorized access. The results derived from analysis of the survey response data will be reported in aggregate only. No individual responses will be provided whereby the individual or organization that provided the response can be identified.

Survey respondents will be asked to provide consent for their responses to be used in confidence.
