Barrett Xplore Inc. to Complete Broadband Network

At the August 3, 2010 session of Grey County Council a by-law was passed to contract with Barrett Xplore Inc. to complete the Rural Connections broadband project.  A link to the Site schedule and Hot Spot schedule is posted below with estimated times of completion in 2012.

Check the Current Broadband Site and Hot Spot Schedules

Please Note:  For an area to be considered served, 75% of residents of a hexagon have access to affordable broadband. Some people may not have access due to their relative location to a tower site. Wireless is affected by hills and trees. If you are located in a valley with dense tree cover there is a chance that you will not get coverage.  Grey County Council made a decision to cover all of the County to 75% rather than a smaller portion to 100%.
